A beautifully constructed “Blessing Box” sits downtown Carrier Mills, located across the street from the city library.  This box serves as a “micro pantry” for those in the community to retrieve non-perishable food items at no cost.  The box was constructed by the Southern Illinois Worship Center out of Herrin, for Heaven’s Kitchen to place where the need is.  Randy Bynum of Heaven’s Kitchen fills the box 3 to 4 times weekly.  This is just one of many boxes planned to be put around the area in the future.
